Description

a: War medal, associated with 2017.08.01-15. Award consists of a 2 inch ribbon and a round metal. The ribbon is striped on the outside with red, then a stripe of equal width in blue. The center of this ribbon has 3 smaller stripes of equal width, white on either side of a centre red stripe. The top of this ribbon is attached with a metal safety pin as well as the original metal pin clasp. The round metal section of this award has a diameter of 1.5 inches. The face of this award depicts British monarch George 5th. and is inscribed with the following in Latin [GEORGIVS / VID/ G: BR/ OMN; REX / ET/ INDIAE/ IMP:] The reverse side of this award depicts a lion standing triumphant overtop what appears to be a 2 headed griffin (part lion park eagle). The dates [1939 - 1945] is inscribed on the top right edge of the round medal, As are what appears to be the letters [ ECRP ]. b: Box, off white color, approx 3 by 2 inches with a hight of .5 inches. Stamped on the top are the following [WAR MEDAL 39-45]
