Description

Associated with 2017.08.01-15. Image of a pilot from the RCAF in a glass frame embellished with [RCAF] gilded in gold colored cursive writing. Photograph is of a young man in RCAF uniform, complete with shirt, coat, cravat, and cap. Shoulder of the coat has a propeller and an eagle patch stitched onto it. Young man is Caucasian, blond hair, dark eyes and looks between the ages of 19 - 25. Background is a uniform gray. Reverse of the photograph is off white with no distinguishing marks save for one line of gray (graphite ?) near the centre. Photo is 8 by 10 inches Frame 10 by 12 inches. Border is off-white, at the top is the RCAF coat of arms with wings, royal crown and laurels. The bottom of the frame has the letters RCAF emblazoned in cursive script. The interior of the boarder is sliver and blue. The glass itself is fastened to the back of the frame with 4 silver screws. Back of the frame is a thick cardboard of some kind. There is a support attacked to the back of the frame to stand the photograph up. a is the photograph, b is the frame
