Associated with 2017.08.01-15. 4 pieces of paper, 3 found in the right breast pocket of 2017.08. 9 and one from the right waist pocket of the same. a &b: The Right breast pocket contained 2 Daily Messing Cards (i.e., food rations per day that can be checked off as consumed.) These 2 cards are identical save for their issue number. There are no marks or stains on either of these Messing Cards. Both cards are 4 by 2.5 inches and printed on in black ink. The first is printed on as follow: [ REPERATION DEPOT. - ROCKCLIFFE / Daily Messing Card / No. 119832] The second is identical save for the No. [ No. 119248 ] There are 3 boxes (intended to be checked off once used ? ) are in the bottom right corner of both the cards. c: The other object in the right breast pocket of 2017.08.09 is a small card with a portrait of actress Binnie Barnes printed on the top. Under the image are the words [ Binnie Barnes / Universal Pictures] On the revers side of this small card are the following numbers stamped in blue: [ Feb 22 26 >--> -150 / - 178 / 176 ] On either side of the blue stamp are red words printed on the back of the image. [ Can. Rhodes, Mfg. Co. Printed in Can. Pat. No. 262 813 / Though fond of people, you have no trouble in adjusting yourself to solitude/ when necessary. ] d: Inside the right waist pocket is a small letter written in pencil on yellowed paper watermarked with a small swirling pattern. The paper is very thin and the writing is messy such that I cannot read it.
