Letter from D. Hamilton from Ottawa. Unable to read signature of who it is from. Letter discusses Cedar Boards; 12 inch x 16 feet long-could not get any this size but there was 7 and 8 width and 17 feet long without knots avaliable.
Letter is hand written and difficult to read.

Ottawa May 11th
Dear Sir
I was talking to the shipping Bass in the yards about their Cedar Boards he told me that they were heming for their Ceder Boards he told me that they as encheming [unknown word] for their Ceder Boards 12 in by 16 feet long and they Could not get any he said they had plenty of boards 7 and 8 wide 16 and 17 feet clean without knots if they would do he Could send them to you any time I will send up the Interest on that Date Soon[spelling uncertain]
