This indenture made the nineteenth day of august in the year of our Loard one thousand eight
hundred and sixty two in persuance of the act to facilitate the conveyance of all property
between John Martin Hosrun formerly of the village of Almonte in the Township of Ramsay in
the county of Lanark in the Province of ontario manufacurer and of the city of ottawa in the
county of Carelton of the first part and John Hnery of the Township of Napean in the said county
of Carelton Eryme [unknown word] of the second part. Whitneseth that all said party of the first
part in consideartion of the sum of two hundred dollars of lawful money of Canada to him in
hand paid at or before the ensealing and deliverty here of the recept whereof is duely
acknowlaged hath bargined sold and quit claimed and lay their assigns hath bargin sell and quit
laim hereto said party of the second part and his hairs and assigns forevever all his right title
and interest claim property estate and demant both at law and in equity and as were
unpossession as in the be etancy [word unknown] of im and to all that certain parcel or tract of
land and pursuance situate lying and being in the township of Ramsay in the county of Lanark in
the province said and Dominion of Canada being three fourths of an acre be the same more

Or less Being coposed of a part of the east half of lot number fifteen in adhauts [unknown word]
cenassenu [nknown word ] of the said tonwship of Ramsy commencing at the distance of
niney five links and on a course south forteen degrees east from where the center at devision
two between the east and west back of said lot number fifteen intersects the south bank of the
mississippi river then north sixty seven degrees ninty minutes east two chains eastterly five links
uup the nord side of the sed river north two degrees fifty five minutes west two chains and
twenty five links more or less to the center of the south branch of the aforesaid river then north
eighty degrees forty minutes west two chains and minty four links more or less down the centre
of the said branch of the head of the falls then south five degrees east three chains and eigthy
two links more or less down the course of the last mentioned brach to the place of begining.
Also the heaveleye [unknown word] of electing and maintaining a dam across the said branch
of the head of the falls and the secon branch to the auger[unknown word ] of two far from the
general head of the stream and also the privilage to make a road twelve feet in width under the
secde [unknown word] in the elevator of the branch of the manner to intersect with the elevation
ar centre line of said lot about desenbed thence to the public highway

And also the furlage [unknown word ] to build practicable of twelve feet in width across and
seven from where it enteres the public highway extending along and adjoining the upper side of
the said above desented land and also all and singular that certain premises situate lying and
being in the same townsip of Ramsay containing by admeasuremnt thirty two and a half lots of
land be the same more or less commencing ot the centre of the seventh consession of the said
Township of Ramsay at the south last side of the origional road allowance btween lots numbers
fifteen and seventeen in deed singed therein north fifty four linkes more or less to sand bastums
other land wherein south five degrees east two hundred and tweenty links more or less to the
slide property therin south seventy four degrees two hundred over fifty five links more or less
