Description

The digital photograph shows a landscape in Almonte. It is an overhead shot taken from the old flour mill. In the foreground there is a bridge crossing the Mississippi River with a high-water level. The bridge, Main Street, is completely empty, with no cars or pedestrians using it. In the background many buildings and trees are visible, with a white building in the centre of the image standing out prominently. The white building is the old Almonte Electric Plant. To the left of the plant the old Victoria Woollen Mill is visible. The sky takes up about half of the photo. Some light from the sunset is visible towards the right of the image, and there is some blue sky visible under a thick layer of grey clouds. This image was captured during the COVID-19 pandemic.
