Description

A mantle or shelf clock with internal label reading "Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sold in Plymouth Connecticut by Eli Terry Jun" dating to the middle of the 19th century having lions paw feet, turned quarter pillars and vegetable ivory escutcheon. The top rail is carved with baskets of fruit. The clock is missing its original painted face, and its reverse-painted lower glass panel. Clock was owned by James Rosamond and was in Pinehurst (famous Rosamond home) for many years.
