Dear Sir:-
Referring to your favour of recent date addressed to Mr. Lalor at Ottawa would say we have a 72 inch set of John Haigh Cards, which were installed less than a year ago. The description of them taken from invoice is as follows:
One set of Carding Machinery
With hopper feed,
Scribbler,
Scotch feed carder and condenser.
It cost us $4263.17
Duty 524.30
Freight 457.48
5244.95
This machine has a Haigh Feed something after the Bramwell style and a Scotch feed between breaker and finisher. The size of wire on breaker is 28, 30 & 32, Finisher 34 & 35.

Breaker and Finisher are both 72” wide, spools are 3’3” inside of head. We take off 4 spools of 20 ends each.
Our only reason for wishing to dispose of this set is on account of it having so much more carding surface than we require for out class of stock, and we would suggest if you are interested than you arrange to come to Dunnville and look the machine over. This set is in continuous use by us and we would not care to sacrifice to too great and extent, as it is in perfect condition, but if, after examination, you found it to be adapted for your class of work, we feel sure we could come to mutually satisfactory terms.
Yours truly,
THE MONARCH KNITTING CO. LTD.
