Description

Unknown weaver, late 19th century Wool bands of red, light green, yellow on a white and blue cotton ground. Tied double cloth. It features the eagle and shield from the US coat of arms which was a popular motif around the centennial of US independence in 1876. The weaver is unknown and this coverlet may have been produced in the United States.
