This Indenture
Made the nineteenth day of June One thousand eight hundred and seventy four, in pursuance of the Act respecting Short Forms of Conveyance ,
Between Bennet Rosamond of the Village of Almonte in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario Esquire _________ of the First Part; And James Rosamond The younger of the same place Esquire _________________________ Of the Second Part;______________________
Witnesseth, that in Consideration of three hundred and seventy five dollars of lawful money of Canada now paid by the said party of the second part to the said party of the First part, the receipt whereof is hereby by him acknowledged, he the same party of the First Part Doth Grant unto the said party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns forever, All and Singular those__ certain parcel [s, has been crossed out] or tract[s, has been crossed out] of Land and Premises situate, lying and being in the Village of Almonte in the County of Lanark Province of Ontario and Dominion of Canada being composed of Village lots numbers Twenty three on Union street and Forty one on Mitcheson Street in the Rosamond Section in the said Village of Almonte as laid down on a plan thereof made by Andrew Bell P.L.S. filed in the Registry office for the North Riding of the County of Lanark.

To have and to hold, unto the said party of the Second Part, his heirs and assigns , to and for his and their sole and only use forever, Subject nevertheless to the reservations, limitations, provisoes and conditions expressed in the original Grant thereof from the Crown.____________
The Said party of the First Part covenants with the said party of the Second part that he hath the right to convey the said Lands to the said party of the Second part, notwithstanding any act of the said party of the First Part ; And that the party of the Second Part shall have quiet possession of the said Land, free from all encumbrances; And that the said party of the First Part will execute such further assurances of the said Land as may be requisite; And that the party of the First Part hath done no act to encumber the said Land. ________________
