Red wool on white cotton. Tied double cloth.
This is one of two similar coverlets found at the Odessa Antiques Show in Odessa, Ontario in 2018. It is unique to Ontario with only one other example of this pattern known which is in the Royal Ontario Museum. It has a twilled background which is uncommon in Ontario. It is attributed to a weaver in Neustadt or Hannover in Bruce County, Ontario.Collection
