Blue wool on natural white cotton ground. Tied double cloth.
This is one of two coverlets which were purchased from the Odessa Antiques Show in Odessa, Ontario in 2018. It has a twill background which is unusual in Ontario. It is attributed to an unnamed weaver in the Neustadt / Hannover area of Bruce County, Ontario. There is a coverlet which is beleived to be from the same weaver in the Bruce County Museum in Southhampton.Collection
