Pink slip of paper from The Beach Founary Co. Ltd, makers of The Maple Leaf stoves and rangers, etc. To A. M. Greig regarding his purchase and meeting with his agent in Carelton Place. Dated July 29 1908. Paper is printed on in blue ink however letterhead is printed in black ink at the top of the page. The Maple Leaf Stoves, Ranges, Heaters and Registers Also Winchester Acetylene Gas Machines Winchester, Ont. July 29th, 1908, 190 Mr. A. M. Greig, Almonte, Ont. Dear Sir : On my return to town I am in receipt of your letter of July 23rd and in reply to same would say, that at the time I took the stand over I went to your agent, Mr. Steel at Carleton, in company with Mr. Kenney. Mr Kenny informs me that the rent was paid up to the 25th of the month that I took the stand over, and that the rent was $12.00. I referred these facts to your agent in the presence of Mr. Kenny and he informed him then and there that Mr. Kenny’s statements were correct. I might add [“here” is crossed out] that when at Carleton last Friday, I gave your agent notice that I would vacate the premises at the end of my month. I have also informed my Manager at Carleton, to pay the rent up in full at the rate of $12.00 per month, which I trust will be satisfactory, I remain, Yours truly, B.C. Beach. [on reverse] 1908 B.V.
