Scope and Content

Legal paper, page 24 by 34cm folded in half to make two 12cm by 34 cm size, with large margins bordered in red lines. This page is printed and written on in black ink. This land deed was made on the 24th of November 1876 and is between Robert Cameron and John McIntosh for Nine hundred and Ninety two dollars, signed by A.M. Greig, A.H. Manning and Robert Cameron. Transcription of 2018.20.45 - PROOFED QUIT CLAIM DEED Copp, Clark, & Co. Colborne Street, Toronto --------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ This Indenture, made in duplicate the Twenty Fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy six. Between Robert Cameron of the Village of Almonte in the county of Lanark and Province of Ontario, Carpenter of the first part; John McIntosh, of the Township of Ramsay in the County of Lanark aforesaid, Yeoman. Witnesseth, that the said party of the First Part, for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred and ninety four dollars and twenty four cents of lawful money of Canada to him in hand paid by the said party of the Second part, at or before the sealing and delivery of these Presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged), hath granted, released, and quitted claim, and by these Presents doth grant release, and Quit Claim unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, All his estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever, both at Law and in Equity or otherwise howsoever and whether in possession or expectancy of in to or out of All and Singular those certain parcels or tracts of land and premises situate lying and being in the Village of Almonte in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario being composed of Village [Written on the interior of the page] lots numbers twenty six twenty seven thirty seven and thirty eight on Stephen street twenty three, twenty four and twenty five on Union street, and thirty nine, forty and forty one on Mitcheson street all in the Rosamond Section of the said Village of Almonte Together with all the appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining, To have and to hold the aforesaid lands and premises, with all and signular the appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining, Unto and to the use of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns FOR EVER : Subject to the reservations , limitations, provisoes and conditions expressed in the original grant from the Crown.
