VIDEO INTERVIEW Interviewer: Kathy Priddle Interview Date: July 31, 2014 Worked in Rosamond Mill 1955-1980 Kevin began working at fifteen years old as a dryer. He talked about shift work, the dye house, truckers, and night watchmen. He talked about how the mill physically felt like in the smell, the temperature, and the layout of the mill floors as well as how the material was processed. For a time he worked at the mill full time while also attending school full time. He talked about wages, accounting, the union, layoffs, and the boiler room. The Rosamond Mill was bought by Collie’s in 1980 which was when he left. He enjoyed his work.
