VIDEO INTERVIEW Interviewer: Marilyn Snedden Interview date: July 3, 2013 Mary Hugesson was born in Montreal and frequenty visited her grandmother at Pinehurst at Christmas and summer. Her uncle Gordon Hughes was an architect who remodeled Pinehurst lodge. In her interview Mary describes the Pinhurst estate, the people there and her memories of what they did on holidays there including swimming and playing poker. Her mother and aunt regulary swam in the river where red dye was dumped and they both passed away from cancer. Mary graduated law school in 1958 and shortly after married her husband Jim who went on to become a federal judge. She also mentions that she inherited a dining table from the armoury in Kingston.
