TRANSCRIBED INTERVIEW - no recording available Interviewer: Marilyn Snedden Interview Date: October 21, 2014 Leonard started working at the Collie mill at twelve years old, docking and weaving in 1942. He worked in the Weave Room, Spinning Room, and then the Carding Room for 2 years. He left the mill in 1944 to join the army and came back afterwards. The mill made uniforms during a wartime boom, and he talked about the Collie Bus that would transport workers. He talked about machine History, Shift Work, Jim Collie, Machine Repair, Accidents, Electricity, and Specking. His parents also worked at the mill.
