(3rd yr. Ord. Textile Industries)
Friday, 24th March, 1939- 10.0 a.m. to 12 noon.
Candidates are required to attempt not more than FOUR questions.
Questions :
1. Trace briefly the development of industrial psychology.
In what directions do you consider that industrial psychology might advantageously be applied to the special problems of the textile industries?
2. What are the main difficulties involved in the
delegation of authority and responsibility in a large business and how can these difficulties be overcome?
3. What steps might be taken by a large textile firm to
reduce (a) labour turnover and (b) absenteeism, if these are found to be excessive?
