Miss Ian + I Had all day Thursday afternoon I was at the Methodist Sunday School picnic I Enjoyed myself very well. [on the opposite page] Thursday evening Mr & Mrs Jammison & Mary & I came to Arnprior we went to Wr Caiss’s & stayed all night & then I came here to see John that is Uncle’s of course -- John was not very well last night but is quite well now the Doctor is attending Mary she is very ill Uncle is away on the pum [unknown word] [side B. vertical text written left to right, left hand side] excussion. John pants look as though he needed a new paint + coat also they are too many holes for me to mend. He says he dont kno when he will be home. The children seem to be very fond of him. I motioned [unknown spelling of word] staying here till this evening when I expect to get out to Mr Caiss’. I expect to go to Almonte [side B. vertical text written left to right, right hand side] Was under his protection + he didnt think it was a place that I should go. Yesterday Then was two ladies called on me the two Miss Dainslins for the evening I was invited to go for a boat ride. I had a splendid time there were the two miss Dainslins , the two Miss Torimses [side B. horizontal text written under/over vertical text ] The Middle of next week tell Mr Jamison if he could so arrange that he would be at Almonte the last of wed [abreviation for wednesday] he could greatly oblige.
