Dear Sir
I received your letter of the Fifteenth, and in reply must state that we have made no Brick,, those last two years, I sold the last of them out, this last Summer, therefore it leaves me not a Brick to forward to your address, The prices for the last year were for Soft Brick $4 00 for Hard $5.50 those are the prices @ the yard, I am now a resident of Almonte, therefore it becomes necessary for me to let out the manufacturing of the Brick by contract the last contract were 300.000 Brick. I have also let out another contract of Three Hundred Thousand for to be manufactured this next summer, We are making by the hand, We have dispenced with Bulmer & Sheppard Press, the expences for breakages and other things going wrong made it not so profitable as hand making
I remain
Yours Respectfully
Gilbert Mon’
