Grey paper, typed letter with some handwriting on it. From Howard Richie of Stratford, Ontario dated Jan '85 letter to the editor ? Almonte Gazette sharing a find of old photos. Photos not found with letter. Letter crumpled at bottom, creased and folded in different areas.

The Editor:
Tine for renewal of. if you will excuse the expression, the •home town rag'. It's not a rag, really you've got a good
weekly newspaper and this boy looks forward to receiving it each week even though two or three editions arrive at once.
While doing a once-in-a-lifetime cleaning a few weeks ago,
I came across the enclosed pics and, rather than throw them
out, thought you might have use of them in your Pic of the Past. Whether you use
them or not is immaterial; however, I would like them back to put in one of my
Almonte Scrapbooks. The scrapbook,
incidentally, are made up for the most part from Gazette clippings. Needless to say, the clippings bring back a lot of memories.
