Weights:
A total 31 metal weights (cast iron and other ) in 8 different sets. Sets are differentiated by numbers 01 - 08 and the members of each set are labeled with letters.
1993.03.60.01: a single 30 kg weight, round and painted black.
1993.03.60.02.a-f: a set of iron weights painted brown and marked as having a 10kg, 5kg, 3kg, two 2kg and a 1 kg weight as part of the set. These weights have a slit in the side and a corresponding base with screw in hook for both easy transposition and in order to hook the full contents of the weight on a single object.
1993.03.60.03a-d: a set of 3 cast iron weights on the same style base as described above, the weights range in size from 5 - 2 kg.
1993.03.60.04a-c: a set of 2 cast iron weights on the same style base as described above, the weights range in size from 5 - 2 kg. One of the weights is painted green.
1993.03.60.05a-c: a set of 2 cast iron weights on the same style base as described above, both weights are about 4 kg.
1993.03.60.06a-c: a set of 2 cast iron weights on the same style base as described above, both weights are about 4 kg.
1993.03.60.07a-c: a set of 2 cast iron weights on the same style base as described above, the weights are 4kg and 1kg respectively.
1993.03.60.08a-h: a is a wooden board with 9 differently sized holes drilled into it, each hole seems to have a corresponding weight, but only 7 weights are present. The weights (b-h) are round and domed on the top, with a hook to attach to a scale, and either flat or concave on the bottom. The weights present are the following : 1000g , 500g, 300g, 200g, 100g, 20g and 10g. Each weight is made of metal that appears to be brass and seems to have been filled with granules (perhaps metal or sand) to make it the correct weight.
