DEED - WITH DOWER. A. S. WOODBURN, Law and General Printer, Ottawa.
This Indenture,
Made the Seventeenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and seventy four, in pursuance of the Act respecting Short Forms of Conveyances,
Between Joseph Jamieson of the village of Almonte in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario, Esquire, and John McIntosh of the same place, Gentleman of the First Part;
The Rosamond Woolen Company, of the said village of Almonte, of the Second Part; and Elizabeth Jamieson and Janet McIntosh wives of the said parties of the First Part, of the Third Part;
Witnesseth, that in consideration of one thousand four hundred dollars of lawful money of Canada now paid by the said parties of the Second Part to the said Parties of the First Part, the receipt whereof is hereby by them acknowledged, they the said parties of the First Part Do - Grant unto the said parties of the second part their successors and assigns forever, All and Singular, that certain parcel or tract of Land and Premises, situate, lying and being in the Township of Ramsay in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario, being composed of the west Half of Lot Number Twelve in the Fourth concession of the said Township of Ramsay. Containing by admeasurement One Hundred acres be the same more or less

To have and to hold, unto the said parties of the Second Part their successors and assigns, to and for their sole and only use forever, Subject Nevertheless to the reservations, limitations, provisoes, and conditions expressed in the original Grant thereof from the Crown.
The said parties of the First Part covenant with the said parties of the Second Part that they have the right to convey the said Land to the said parties of the Second Part, notwithstanding any act of the said parties of the First Part; And that the said parties of the Second Part shall have quiet possession of the said Land, free from all encumbrances; And that the said parties of the First Part will execute such further assurances of the said Land as may be requisite; And that the said parties of the First Part hath done no act to encumber the said Land.
And the said parties of the First Part release - to the said Parties of the Second Part all their claims upon the said Land.
And the said parties of the Third Part, wives of the said parties of the First Part, hereby Bars their Dower in the said Lands.

I, Alfred Carss of the village of Almonte in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario, Student at Law, make oath and say as follows:
(1 ) That my name, place of residence and addition, occupation or calling are above truly set forth in full.
(2) That I know the within named Joseph Jamieson. Elizabeth Jamieson John McIntosh and Janet McIntosh the parties thereto
(3) That I was personally present and saw them execute the within Deed and duplicate original thereof at the village of almonte in the said County of Lanark
(4) And that I am a subscribing witness to the said Deed and duplicate original thereof.
