Known all Men by these presents, that I William Rosamond
Of Cobourg.
Do make , constitute and appoint Bennet Rosamund, of Almonte
My true and lawful attorney, for me in my name and on my behalf to sell assign and transfer four hundreds ~ Shares in the Capital stock of The Rosamond Woolen Co standing in my name : to receive the consideration money, and give a receipt or receipts for the same, and generally to do all lawful acts necessary for effecting the promises : Hereby ratifying and confirming all that my said Attorney shall do therein by virtue hereof.
IN Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal, at Cobourg this twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighty eight

INSTRUCTIONS TO BE STRICTLY OBSEREVED
The Chrisitan and Surname , the place of abode, and the profession or calling of the party executing the within document, as also of the Attorney to be appointed, must be stated at length.
If the party be not acting in his own right , but in a representative capacity as Executor, & C & C such representative capacity must be stated , and proof in support of it must be produced and left with the Bank.
If the Stock to be transfered be partnership property, the names of the respecive partners , and their places of above, and place of business must be inserted : and if the document be executed in the name of the firm, such name must also be set forth, and the individual partner executing the same must sign his name after the name of the firm.
If the party be a married woman, proof of her right to dispose of hte stock, independent of her husband, must be submitted, or her husband must sanction such disposal by his signature , duly authorizing her for the purposes set forth.
All dates must be inserted inwords at length
Execution of the document must be attested by one or more credible witnesses, each o whom must add to his signature , his place of abode, and proffession or calling,
If executed out of Canada, the execution must be attested by one of the witnesses , before the mayor or other cheif magistrate, or the British consul or vise conslul, or a judge of a court of record or notary public who must authenticate it by the ususal certificate under his official signature and seal of office,
If executed in Great Brittain or Ireland, or elsewhere, where stamps are by law required, the document must be duly stamped before execution.
