The Anchor Knitting Company of Almonte Limited to Penmans Limited; Copy of Deed of Land. Dated May 13, 1910.

THIS INDENTURE wade (in duplicate) the Thirteenth day of May one thousand nine hundred ant ten.
In pureuance of The Short Forms of Conveyance Act, Between The Anchor Knitting Company of Almonte, Limited, a body politic and Corporate, duly interpreted according to law and having its head office in Almonte, In the Province of Ontario, party of the first part, and Penmans Limited, a body politic and corporate, duly incorporated according to law and having Its hand office in Montreal, in the Province of Quebec, Party of the Second Part,
WITNESETH that in consideration of the premises and of the sum of Ono Dollar of lawful money of Canada, now paid by the sold party of the second part to the said party of the First Part, the receipt whereof la hereby by it acknowledged the said party of the First Part doth grant onto the said party of the Second Part.
ALL AND SINGULAR(1) that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being In the Town of Almonte in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario, being caucused of a part at lot number fifteen in the ninth concession of the township of Ramsay (but now within the limits of the said Town of Almonte), containing by admeasurement one acre and a quarter of an acre be the ease more or lee, which said certain parcel or tract of land is described la end by a certain Indenture of Bargain and Sale thereof hearing date the first day of December, .A,D 1866, and made between Allan McDonald of the first part, Samuel Reed of the Second part, John McIntosh of the third part. William Meiarn Shaw of the Fourth Part. Margaret McDonald wife of the said -Allen McDonald of the Fifth Part, Janet McIntosh wife of the said John McIntosh of the Sixth Part and one James Forgie of the Seventh Part, as follows, that is to say:- Commencing on Mil; Street fourteen fee- free the southwest corner of the cloth dressing shop of the late Daniel Shipman, from thence north eighty two degrees east thirteen and three-fourths porches more or less to another poet on the same side of Mill street, from thence north seventeen degrees west to the centre of River Mississippi: passing a stump biased on two sides standing ninety-one links below the point of rock on the Bank of the said River, from thence down the centre of the Channel until interests the line running south four degrees east, from thence to the place of beginning
together with sufficient water for carrying on woolen, carding and cloth manufacturing, and also the privelage of the water passing off into the river by the present channel; below the dressing shop by deepening the same, and which said parcel of land is now laid our on Wilkie's Plan of Almonte as Town Lot number Nineteen on said Mill Street excepting and reserving from and out of the parcel of land hereinbefore described four thousand five hundred square feet be the acre more or less in. the south-east angle of the said parcel of land* thence westerly along the north side of Mill Street sixty-nine feet and ten inches to on Iron bolt now set at the distance of twelve feet westerly from the line of the west end of a certain frame building or dwelling house standing on the said reservation, thana northerly at right angles to Mill Street one hundred and nineteen feet and six Inches to a post now planted thence easterly at right angles from the last mentioned line and parallel to that part of Mill Street in front of the said tract or parcel of land twenty-eight feet and eight inches be the ear* acre or lees to the westerly boundry of the land formerly belonging to John McIntosh, thence southerly along the said westerly boundary of the said Jo n McIntosh's land and the westerly boundary of the land, purchased by one James Forgie from the heirs of the late Daniel Shipman, one hundred and twenty six foot store or less to the place of beginning*
Together vita the said woolen and knitting factory on the said lands and the engine end boiler, water wheels, shafting and belting, hose, hydrante, pump, steam boilers, electric light fixtures on the said premises and also all the Machinery machines and fixtures in the said woolen and knitting factory and connected and used therewith.
ALSO, ALL AND SINGULAR (2) that certain parcel of 1and
And premises situate in the Said Town of Almonte being composed of Town Lot number Sixteen on the corner of Brae and Farm street having a frontage of fifty-one feet more or less on Said Farm Street and extending the same width an full depth of the said lot The said lot being in the Baird Section of the said Tom of Almonte
AND ALSO, ALL AND SINGULAR (3) that certain parcel of
land and premises situate, lying and being in the said Town of Almonte being composed of Town Lot number Twenty-eight on Main Street of the Said Town of Almonte as laid down on Wilkie's General plan of the said Town and registered In the Registry Office for the north Riding of the said County of Lanark.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD onto the said, party of the second part Its successors and assigns to and for its and their solo and only use forever.
SUBJECT NEVERTHELESS to the reservations, limitations, provisoes and conditions expressed In the original Grant thereof from the Crown. The said party of the first part Covenants with the said party of the second part that the said party of the first part has the right to convey the said lands to the said party of the second part notwithstanding any act of the said, party of the first part. AND the said party of the second part shall have quiet possession of the said lands, free from all incumberances.
AND the said party of the first part Covenants with the- said party of the second part that the said party of the first part will execute such further assurances of the said lands as may he requisite. AND the said party of the first part Covenants with the said party of the second part that the Said party of the first part ha* done no act to incumber the said lands.
AND the said party of the first part Releases to the said party of the second part ALL Claims upon the said lands
