Object is a rectangular paper Quit Claim Deed between Peter Young and John McIntosh and witnessed by Alonzo Hodges Manning. There is a blue stamp on the back of the document identifying it as having been registered in the Registry Office for the North Riding of the County of Lanark. The deed is dated November 24th 1876. There is a single seal inside of the document. The paper itself is machine woven, while the media is black and red ink which covers approximately 30% of the surface of the paper. The object is 33.5cm long and 42cm wide when unfolded.

QUIT CLAIM DEED. COPP, CLARK & Co., Colborne Street, Toronto.
This Indenture, made in duplicate the twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy six
Between Peter Young, of the village of Almonte in the County of Lanark and province of Ontario, manufacturer, of the first part
John McIntosh of the Township of Ramsay in the County of Lanark aforesaid, Yeoman,
Witnesseth, that the said party of the First Part, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixteen dollars and twenty three cents of lawful money of Canada, to him in hand paid by the said party of the Second Part, at ot before the sealing and delivery of these Presents (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged), Hath granted, released, and quitted claim, and by these Presents Doth grant release, and Quit Claim unto the said party of the Second Part his heirs and assigns, All his estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever, both at law and in Equity or otherwise howsoever and whether in possession or expectancy of in to or out of All and Singular those certain parcels or tracts of land and premises situate lying and being in the village of Almonte in the County of Lanark and Province of Ontario, being composed of village

Lots numbers twenty six, twenty seven thirty seven and thirty eight on Stephen Street twenty three twenty four and twenty five on Union Street twenty nine forty and forty one on Mitcheson Street all in the Rosamond Section of the said village of Almonte.
Together with all the appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining, to have and to hold the aforesaid lands and premises, with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining, Unto and to the use of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns FOR EVER : Subject to the reservations, limitations, provisoes and conditions expressed in the original grant from the Crown.
In Witness whereof, the said parties to these Presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Received, on the day and year first above written, from the said John McIntosh the sum of one hundred and sixteen 23/100 dollars of lawful money of Canada, being the consideration money hereinbefore mentioned to be paid.

That I am a subscribing witness to the said Instrument and Duplicate.
