Object is a rectangular paper auction advertisement for the estate of James Greig in Carleton Place, dated October 31st 1903. The paper itself is machine woven, while the media is black ink in the form of printed text which covers approximately 60% of the paper's surface. The object is 49cm wide and 67cm long when unfolded.

SALE BY TENDER
OF
VALUABLE PROPERTY
IN THE
TOWN OF CARLETON PLACE.
The Trustees of the Estate of the late James Greig offer for sale by tender the following Properties, viz. :--
PARCEL 1. That part of Lot Number Twenty-five on the West side of Bridge Street and North of Allan Street, occupied by Mrs. Archibald Darou as a Confectionery Shop, Dwelling and Bakery. There are erected on said Parcel a Two Story Stone Building used for Two Shops and a Dwelling and a First-class Brick Building used as a Bakery.
PARCEL 2. That portion of said Lot Number Twenty-five, occupied by William Patterson as a Furniture Wareroom and Sale Shop. There is erected on this Parcel a Two Story Frame Building which can be used either as a Shop alone or as a Shop and Dwelling.
PARCEL 3. That portion of said Lot formerly occupied by W. J. Muirhead as a Hardware Store. There is a First-class Brick Veneered Building on this Parcel, divided into Two Shops and a Dwelling in second story. This is situated on the bank of the river and is a most desirable location for a business man.

Marked ‘Tenders for Property” will be received by the Undersigned for said Parcels until
SATURDAY, the Thirty-first Day of October,
D., 1903 at Six O’clock p.m.
All the buildings of these properties are in a good state of repair. The Properties are in the centre of the business portion of the town and many years may elapse before an opportunity will be had for buying such desirable Business Stands.
