Scope and Content

Object is a rectangular paper advertisement for the sale of 42 Deer in Almonte, dated January 18, 1868. The paper itself is machine woven, while the media is black ink in the form of printed text which covers approximately 55% of the surface of the paper. The object is 23cm wide and 31cm long. Transcription of artifact is as follows: PUBLIC NOTICE Public Notice is hereby given that the following Game, viz.: 42 Deer, Confiscated uuder the provisions of the “Act for the Better Protection of Game in Upper Canada,” will be sold by PUBLIC SALE, --ON-- TUESDAY NEXT, JAN. 21, At 2 o’clock, P.M., at the Almonte House, in the Village of Almonte, and the proceeds of such sale applied as directed by the said Act. Almonte, January 18 1868
