Description

Large Book of woolen Samples # 54747 to #5946. Found In Rafters Above Upstairs ceiling during the Renovations of the museum in 1993. Book is 50 x 33 cm and 16 cm tall, 100 pages full of woolen cloth samples. Samples mostly seem to be dark collars and simple patterns. Covers of the book are thick card/ paper in a dark color and the binding is brown leather. Back of the books says [ From 4747 - 5946 ] There is a white card with black text and information printed on it concerning this large sample book. According to this page this book contains samples from Rosamond Woollen Co products. Manufacture's logo is dark purple / black and printed on in gold in Gothic script, text as follows: [ Henry Morton / Chas. S. J. Phillips / Hugh Cameron / M Freeman / Robt. J. Gibson / Morton, Phillips &Co / Stationers, / Blank Book Makers / Relief stampers, / Fine Job Printers. / 1755 Notre Dame Street / MONTREAL ]
