Description

Newspaper clipping: "Exhibition Celebrates Canada's Handwoven Heritage" OHS Bulletin, 1986. Dr. Adrienne Hood (pictured) was a mentee and close friend of Dorothy's, and has several other related items in this Collection. She was also a Curator at the ROM, in North American Textiles. Judith Cslenji (pictured) was an artifact technician at the ROM, and worked with Dr. Adrienne Hood. Article includes a photo of them working in the ROM's storage, which has been circled in black. This article also mentions the Burnham's coverlets- including the blue and white coverlet woven by Dorothy and her husband, Harold, which was a key piece in their "Unlike the Lilies" exhibition, which toured Canada and the USA in the late 1980s- early 1990s.
