Description

Fibre Rotator. This items was reviewed by Dr. Larose (see biography) during interview on July 15th, 1985; This device was used to mount a fibre between to two clamps. A microscope was placed so that it could be focussed on the fibre, which could then be rotated so that it could be examined on all sides. The whole device could travel along independently of the microscope so that the whole length of the fibre could be scanned. Dr. Larose recalled using the instrument.
