Description

Industrial jacquard woven tied double cloth tablecloth, circa 1890 - 1910. "This late Victorian table cloth represents commercial industrial weaving that produced a wide variety of products for the Canadian market." Thick, bleached cotton warp and blue cotton weft. The style is typical of the era with a centre field of stylized plant and floral motifs and geometric forms. The manufacturer is unknown but it was likey made by a company in Canada or the United States. This table cloth belonged to Dennis Mills' great grandmother Abigail Campbell.
