Jacquard fabric, c.1900
This piece of double cloth jacquard woven fabric appears that it was intended for a coverlet which was never made. It could have also been used to make a tablecloth or rug. The wool was commercially dyed. It has a yellow-green warp on a yellow cotton base. It was likely made in a large textile mill.
"The aesthetic appears to be related to European design of the period." Geometric patterns with diamond and floral motifs.Collection
