Description

"The large drying rack was linked to the Hunt family of Belleville, Hastings County. It is constructed from maple with forged hinges and screws." (Dennis Mills notes). It would have been placed infront of the wood stove in the kitchen. It consists of 4 vertical and 8 horizontal bars, in two parts connected by iron hinges. It measures 204 cm high and 91 cm wide when folded closed. circa 1900
