Description

Mrs. Charolette Richardson (b. 1875) brought this machine from England in the early 20s when she immigrated to Fort William, Ontario. A manually operated machine made by Frister & Rossman Co.., and early manufacturer of sewing machines in the U.K. This machine won a medal at the Worlds Fair in Hail. Black machine with gold writing and designs on it. Words read FRISTER & ROSSMANN. Has crank for manual power with a whit knob. Yarn is still present. Machine is placed in a wooden base, which has a hole for spare yarn, etc. Base also reads FRISTER & ROSSMANN. A spare key in present with the machine.
