Description

Felt Porosity Tester This test unit was used to measure the air flow through a felt sample and thus after many repeated tests on the same type of fabric design a standard fabric porosity could be established. This information then became a valuable quality control tool to measure repeat production of the same design. It was also used to compare different felt designs to one another as well as it allowed the felt designers to evaluate changes made within the same design to better react to conditions observed on actual felts as they ran on the paper making machines. -in wooden box -from Huyck Canada in Arnprior -in working order Text on front label is as follows: [ BENDTSEN / Smoothness - / and / Porosity Tester ] [ MADE IN DENMARK / ANDERSON & SORENSEN / COPENHAGEN ]
