Used when fabric is stationary.
Metal device with dial gauge for measuring tension and a rectangular metal base. It has the following words unprofessionally engraved on the sides/ bottom.
From the front facing view (dial forward), the following are found on the body of the device:
LEGEND ([ ] indicate exact copy of text begins and ends. * represents illegible letter. / indicates space between lines.)
Front Outward facing side: [WEAVE ROOM]
Left top of metal base: [ARNPRIOR]
Rear Outward facing side [MAY 29 68] (NOTE, could be 6B )
Right Outward Facing side [E B]
Right Upward facing side [ K**woo* Mill]
It would not be a leap to assume this is from the Arnprior mill Kenwood Mills.Collection
