Name/Title

Hygrothermograph Recorder

Entry/Object ID

1997.01.25a

Description

Recording hygrothermograph or hygrometer. Used by Huyck Canada (Arnprior) to record temperature and humidity. The seven day paper recording chart was mounted on the brass drum and the spring mechanism wound up, this would drive the recorder drum for the week with the inked pens drawing the two lines on the chart, the top line was temperature and the bottom line was humidity. The desired temperature was 70 degrees F and 50 degrees relative humidity and to achieve this control all areas (except finishing) had full air conditioning and humidity input.
