And overshot blue wool and white cotton coverlet fragment. The piece is an overshot coverlet in a "Monmouth" pattern; the pattern however has been stretched vertically. The fragment has been hemmed around a 20" wooden dowel using contemporary white thread. A paper pined to the back says "Overshot. From Portland".Collection
