Tension Tester
Used in looms for single or multiple tension testers.
Used when fabric is stationary.
Metal device with dial gauge for measuring tension and a rectangular metal base. It has hand engravings on the sides/bottom.
From the front facing view (dial forward), the following words are found on the body of the device:
LEGEND ([ ] indicates exact copy of text from beginning to end. * represents illegible letter).
Front outward facing side: [WEAVE ROOM]
Left top of metal base: [ARNPRIOR]
Rear outward facing side: [MAY 29 68] (NOTE, could be 6B)
Right outward facing side: [E B]
Right Upward facing side: [K**woo* Mill]
It would not be a leap to assume this device is from the Arnprior Kenwood Mills.
