Late Qing Dynasty Chinese woman's robe of deep navy blue silk, richly embroidered with circular roundels featuring intricate floral arrangements, auspicious symbols, and scrolling cloud motifs in shades of pale blue, ivory, peach, gold, and muted green. Large embroidered roundels are symmetrically arranged across the front, complemented by smaller medallions on the sleeves and densely patterned semicircular panels at the shoulders. The lower portion is elaborately decorated with a continuous border of stylized waves, clouds, and mountain peaks (lishui), traditional motifs associated with longevity, prosperity, and harmony. Additional embroidered borders accent the sleeve ends, while a narrow patterned collar and decorative fastenings complete the garment.
