Description

Chinese detachable silk embroidered collar, mid-19th century, featuring a dark navy blue ground richly decorated with four five-clawed dragons amid stylized clouds, waves, and auspicious motifs. Finely embroidered in shades of blue, gold, ivory, coral, and green, with the dragons arranged symmetrically around the central neckline. The curved, fan-shaped collar is bordered with patterned silk brocade and narrow contrasting trim. Mounted on a natural linen backing and presented in a clear plexiglass display frame.
