Description

Chinese lady's beaded headband featuring a distinctive V-shaped form with two elongated, curved panels densely embellished with multicolored glass seed beads. The turquoise blue ground is decorated with delicate floral and scrolling vine motifs in shades of pink, coral, white, green, and cobalt blue, framed by a contrasting golden-ochre beaded border with additional floral detailing. The symmetrical panels taper to a central point and are finished with pale fabric edging and a dark cord fastening at the upper ends. A finely worked example of traditional Chinese decorative headwear.
