Pair of Chinese hanging silk cases designed to hold personal seals or chops, traditionally used to authenticate documents, paintings, and calligraphy. The first features a rectangular form covered in ivory silk with colorful floral embroidery, blue patterned trim, and a long burgundy suspension cord accented with decorative silk knots. The second is fashioned from pale gold brocade silk with a contrasting rust-red band, suspended from a green braided cord with an ornamental knot and metal embellishment. Magenta silk tassels hang from either end of its fabric-covered crossbar.
