Description

Landed on site of current cemetery in 1919 when it ran out of gas. Was a government sponsored project--TAT Line (Transcon Air Transport) which became TWA. Plane was scouting route for landing but Kingman had no suitable gas for aircraft. Finally, cans of cleaning solvent were used. Jack Rice Was TAT pilot.
