Scope and Content

A collection of photographs, newspapers, postcards, and brochures documenting real estate and development in Montauk during the 1960s and 1970s. Photographs, maps, and brochures depict many properties of the Montauk Beach Development Corporation and the Montauk Beach Company including the Surf Club, Yacht Club, Montauk Manor, Star Island, Montauk Golf and Country Club, Carl Fisher's Estate, and the Administration Building. Photographs include prints by Dave Edwardes and Joseph Adams. A brief history of the Leisurama homes is represented in photographs, brochures, papers, and a map.
