The Victoria Rudolph Digital collection consists of scans of photographs and newspaper articles of sportfishing in Montauk during the 1950s through the 1970s. The collection of 27 items includes portraits of sports fishermen and female anglers with their catch, including her parents Phillis Ridgway and Jack Rounick at the Montauk Yacht Club and the Deep Sea Club. Phillis Ridgway is pictured with a prized 328lb Blue Marlin that was mounted and hung in the Deep Sea Club, it later moved to Salivar's Restaurant. While many people are unidentified, the fish are displayed with the date of catch and their weight offering insight into sportfishing at the time and species size.Archive Details
