Scope and Content

A collection of 79 digital reproductions of black-and-white photographs attributed to William Wallace Tooker of landscapes, windmills, churches, ships, streets, and beached whales taken in Montauk, East Hampton, and Bridgehampton. The photographs were printed from glass negatives by George Torgersen in the 1950s and scanned by the Montauk Library in 2007. The photographs date from 1880s-1910.
