The Vera Holden Real Estate Collection includes advertisements, brochures, and cooperative offering plans for hotels, motels, and condominiums in Montauk, New York. The materials in the collection date from the 1980s when Vera Holden worked as a licensed real estate agent and sales representative to various establishments in Montauk and Amagansett. Vera Holden (1917-2014) was born in Esterhazy, Canada and moved to New York City to take a job as a model where she met and married her husband Albert R. Holden. They had two sons together and lived in New Jersey and Queens before moving to Montauk, New York. In Montauk, she was very active with the Montauk Community Church and headed the Sunday school program. She was a successful real estate agent for many years. After her husband's death in 2002, she returned to Canada.Note Type
