A collection of brochures, booklets, newspaper clippings, and 21 photographs relating to the history of Montauk from the collection of Dr. John Baiardi, former director of the New York Ocean Science Laboratory. Photographs include an aerial of the Andrew J. Thomas estate, captioned photographs of the old Fishing Village and Fort Pond Bay, and hurricane damage from the 1938 and 1954 hurricanes in Montauk. Publications include Montauk Beach On Long Island: Miami Beach of the North A Carl G. Fisher Development, c. 1928, History of Long Island State Parks published by the Long Island Forum permission of the Lewis Historical Publishing Co. 1959; and Regulations Governing the Use of Montauk Yacht Harbor and General Information about Montauk, c. 1930s.Archive Details
